Memorial Day isn’t just about honoring veterans, its honoring those who lost their lives. Veterans had the fortune of coming home.

Genie does grant Disney’s live action wish !!!

Movie: Aladdin
Starrung: Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Naomi Scott
Directed by: Guy Richie
“There is not enough money and power in the world to make anyone happy”.
“Steal an apple and you’re a thief, steal a kingdom and you’re a statesman”.
“People don’t see you when your royalty”.
The trailers just don’t justify this movie.
Well honestly, I’m not a fan of musicals but this one I really loved. This was such a down the memory lane movie specially for 90’s kids. Well we all knew the story line as most of us grew up watching Disney tales. Turning it into live action which Disney is going to be doing with most of their animations post the success of Beauty and the Beast and the upcoming Lion King makes it pretty interesting.
I was hooked onto it right from the start when Will Smith (Mariner) tells the story to his kids and with the Arabian Nights song and the camera panning through Agrabah, the city’s landscape to the palace with Sultan, Jasmine and Rajah. Director Guy Richie is good with his action sequences. The Aladdin introduction and the whole chase action musical sequence, one jump ahead was choreographed fabulously. It also reminded me of the Aladdin Gameplay, with the guards trying to capture him. Mena Massoud is charming as Aladdin, perfectly casted, captures the charm and the wit of Aladdin effortlessly and has a great smile looks good and is surprisingly a great dancer too. He looked very one note and wooden in the trailers though. His interactions with Jasmine and his sea view house makes for a good view. A whole new world is also a good musical number. The screenplay, cinematography and direction is woven and knitted well. The cave of wonders looks great and is creepier than the animated one. Will Smith as Genie is sassy and zany, loved his version of the Genie, he seemed so happy just to be this bundle of joy with his musical numbers, prince Ali and the instruction manual musical, Friend like me in the cave of wonders. Naomi Scott looked gorgeous as Jasmine, plays her part well speechless was so melodious and she did have a good character arc, I was rooting for Priyanka Chopra though when Disney was looking out for castings. Marwan Kenzari as Jafar plays the baddie and has done a pretty good job with his sorcerer snake sceptre. The movie has some interesting lines and I loved most of its musical numbers. Michael Wilkinson costume designs are pretty accurate. It was reminiscent of Bollywood. Abu, Carpet , Yago, Rajah, Genie all are CGI’d amazingly. Nasim Pedrad and Navid Negahban add good support. Loved the ending. I saw it in 3D but even a good screen should do the job. I thought there were lot of places where things could pop up but there wasn’t much of a 3D aspect to what was filmed. Arabian Nights…..(singing)
From Rags to Raps

Koi doosra mereko batayega mein kaun hai?
Mein nahi badalta apna sapna .. mein sachai badlega apne sapne se mail khane ke liye.. is one of my favourite from a chunk of amazing dialogues penned by vijay maurya..this movie was such an emotional roller coaster.. loved it.. late but glad i got to see it on big screen.. worth every bit of the wait..with amazing background score.. and aesthetically directed by zoya.. Gully boy is a story of a regular guy rising to fame with all the struggles… The sub-plots are so strong and well integrated with the main… Every character introduced has a strong hold.. the actors have done a remarkable job and this movie definately goes into my favourite watchlist of all time

Wow what a movie, I gasped, I cried, I smiled.. this movie is indeed the best in cinematic history of comic books. What an ending to 10 marvellous years!!! Epic !!
There is so much to talk I can barely write it down. I’d actually like to talk to people on this one. Brilliantly written and executed.
This movie had it all Bingo!!! This is going to be so spoiler filled because the entire movie is a spoiler. There are many amazing elements. The way they connected all the movies with time travel is just amazing. I’m just going to run out of adjectives. Coming to characters, what a character arc most of them got specially cap and tony. The acting was superb across board. Tony wielding the gauntlet and saving everyone to cap being worthy of Mjolnir such amazing comic book moments. Cap retiring in the end. The Nebula plot fetched in Thanos back to the ultimate finale battle. This was so amazing.
Black widow literally stole my heart with her performance and Scar Jo was brilliant.
The movie checks in so many comic book plots. Tony took the epic cap death but got his due credit as it all started with Iron Man in 2008. He literally shouldered the MCU. Cap handing shield over to Falcon. The A force, all women team glimpse was such a tease. All the armies coming together Valkyries, sorcerers, asgardians, wakanda, etc and all the avengers , wow what a moment. Also to get those amazing cameos from so many characters across movies was just brilliant, it really shows what an amazing connect they all have with the MCU. There are so many things happening in the movie, it definitely adds to the rewatchability factor. The infinity saga is a must watch and highly recommended. The Russo brothers have pulled yet another juggernaut.
LOVE YOU MCU. What a fan service movie
Thankyou Kevin Feige for bringing this event on the big screen.
Stan Lee you will be missed.
My fav, will miss Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. Love you 3000
